User Switch Action
With this action, you specify a particular user in whose context the subsequent process steps will be executed. This allows a user's permissions to be used in the process for making changes in the Intrexx Portal or to mailboxes in Microsoft Exchange that have been shared with that user.
Create a User Switch Action
You can find the "Switch User" action in "Processes" under the "Elements" section. It belongs to the "Promotions" category. From there, it can be dragged and dropped into the desired location in the process chain and then configured. General information on creating process elements can be found here.
Once you have created the "Switch User" action on the workspace, double-click the item to open the Properties dialog box.

You can find information about the settings in this dialog box here.
Click "Next."
Action Type
Here you can select the scope of the action, depending on the context you need in the process.
Run as an administrator
With this setting, the following actions are performed regardless of the permissions of the user selected in the user action. If this setting is not enabled, the selected user's permissions are checked when the following actions are performed.
User Selection - Intrexx
If you have selected "Intrexx," "OData/SAP Gateway," or "dg archive" as the action type, you can specify a user here whose context will be used to execute the next step in the process chain.
Static User
A specific user is specified here.
Select a user
Opens a dialog box where a user can be selected.
User from System Value
The user can also be determined based on a system value.
Edit System Value
Opens a dialog box where a system value can be defined. The system value must contain a user GUID.
A user who publishes a process with a user-switch action must have sufficient permissions. Generally, users are granted sufficient permissions through their membership in the "Administrators" user group.
User Selection - OData / SAP Gateway
Select the Intrexx user here who should perform the following actions. The corresponding OData user is determined when the process is executed.
The settings in this dialog correspond to the settings you can configure in the user selection for an Intrexx data group.
User Selection - dg archive
The same settings are available here as those for user selection in an Intrexx or OData/SAP Gateway data group.
Select the Intrexx user here who should perform the following actions.
The login assigned to the user for the dg archive connector is automatically determined when the process runs.
User Selection - Exchange
Here, you can specify a user in whose context the following action will be performed. The user must be associated with an Exchange account. You can also find this dialog in the properties of the global timer. You can find all the information about the settings here.
