Main Menu in the "Users" Module

Edit

New

You can create new user objects using this menu. The following submenus are available here:

• Organization

  Opens a dialog box where you can create a new organization.

• Organizational Unit

  Opens a dialog box where you can create a new organizational unit.

• Role

  Opens a dialog box where you can create a new role.

• User Group

  Opens a dialog box where you can create a new user group.

• Distribution List

  Opens a dialog box where you can create a new distribution list.

• User

  Opens a dialog box where a new user can be created.

Additional features are available via the "More..." menu:

• Country

  Opens a dialog box where you can create a new country.

• Location

  Opens a dialog box where you can create a new location.

• Client

  Opens a dialog box where you can create a new client.

• Container

  Opens a dialog box where you can create a new container.

Features

Opens the Properties dialog box for the currently selected object.

Move

Opens a dialog box that allows you to move objects within the tree structure.

Delete

The currently selected item will be deleted.

Details

If the Expert Options are enabled, this menu opens a dialog box that displays detailed information about the currently selected user object.

Search by location

This menu item displays, in the search window, where the currently selected object appears in the user structure (for example, which user groups the currently selected user belongs to).

Change Password

Opens a dialog box where a user's password can be changed.

Generate Password

Activate / Deactivate Account

Enables or disables a user account. A user attempt to log in to the portal with a deactivated account will be automatically rejected.

View

View Details

Opens the "Details" pane, which displays the properties of the currently selected object.

Show Search Window

Opens the search window.

User

User and Group Import

Opens a dialog box where replication sources can be configured. You can find more information on this topic here.

Schema Manager

Opens the Schema Manager.

Permissions

Opens a dialog box where you can manage permissions for editing object classes and instances. You can find more information on this topic here.

Configuration

Opens a dialog box where you can edit the settings for authentication, security, and organization.
