Post in the News module
Posts can be automatically created in the "News" module from other modules when data is modified or new records are created. You can find all the information about the relevant settings in the respective help section for the Intrexx Share module.
Displaying the number of new posts in the navigation bar
The navigation bar can display the number of new posts or data from the respective module that are relevant to you. You can find all the information about the relevant settings in the help section for the Intrexx Share module.
Display with the "Share Messages" additional control and the "Notifications" portlet
The "Share Messages" widget allows you to display the number of new messages anywhere in the portal layout. There you'll find a "
" icon that also displays the current number of new posts.
To the right of that, the profile picture is displayed along with the corresponding online status. Clicking on the image will load the Personal Page.
The "Share Messages" widget also notifies you of new chat messages and displays the total number. You can find more information about the chat here.
When you click the "
" icon, a list of unread notifications will appear.
Each notification includes a link to the corresponding page, where you can find the relevant post in the corresponding Intrexx Share module.
Clicking "Mark as Read" removes the corresponding notification from the list.
"Mark All as Read" removes all notifications from the list.
In both cases, you can view the notifications again by clicking the "View All Notifications" link at the bottom of the page. In your profile, you can set the time period after which read notifications are permanently deleted.
Incorporate an additional check
To configure the additional check, please follow these steps: Create a backup of your portal layout. Then open your layout in the "Design" module to edit it. The "Layout" section displays the layout structure.
Select the "Container Header" here to display the controls at the top of the portal. There, you'll also find, among other things, the "Group for Additional Controls, " into which the Share Message control can be added if it isn't already included in your layout. You can find more information on the topic of "additional checks" here.
Notifications via email / push notifications
In Intrexx Share, you can flexibly configure which new or updated data you'd like to receive a notification for via email or push notification. You can find the relevant settings in your profile.
Browser Settings for Web Notifications
If you're not receiving web notifications in your browser, check to see if notifications are enabled in your browser settings.
Google Chrome browser
Click the padlock icon in the address bar of your Chrome browser. Under "Notifications," select the "Allow" option.
Firefox browser
Click the padlock in the address bar of your Firefox browser. Right-click on the connection status. Click "More Information" and select the "Permissions" tab. Under "Notifications," uncheck the "Use default" option and select "Allow."
Safari browser
Open "Settings" in Safari. Go to "Notifications" via "Websites." Check to see if your address is set to "Allow." If this is not the case, enable "Allow websites to ask for permission to send push notifications."
Edge browser
Click the lock icon in the address bar of your Edge browser and select "Allow" under "Notifications." If "Notifications" do not appear in the block dialog, select "Website Permissions" and choose "Allow" under "Notifications."
Make sure that notifications are enabled in your system settings and check whether, if necessary, "Do Not Disturb" mode could be the reason why notifications aren't appearing.
To ensure that links in a web notification (e.g., to posts) work properly, make sure that pop-ups and redirects are enabled in your browser settings.
