Layout Properties and Details

You can open a layout's Properties dialog box by double-clicking the tab at the top of the workspace or by selecting "Layout / Layout Properties" from the main menu. There, you'll find all the settings that can be configured for the current layout on the tabs described below.

"General" tab

Here, you can define general properties, such as the name of the layout or its output.

General

Title

Enter the name of the layout here.

Standard Menu

Select the preconfigured menu structure that should be loaded initially when a request is made.

Version

The current version number of the layout is displayed here.

Open the Version Manager

Opens a dialog box where you can enter the version number.

Show in the layout selector

The layout can be selected in the browser using the "Layout Switcher" control.

Click "OK" if you want to save the changes and close the layout properties.

"Mobile Devices" tab

This is where you define how the layout behaves when displayed on mobile devices.

Special settings for iPhone or mobile WebKit browsers

Enable Sliding

Enables sliding on the mobile device.

Scroll up while loading

Enter the number of pixels you want the page to scroll up by when it loads.

Click "OK" if you want to save the changes and close the layout properties.

"Print" tab

On this tab, you'll find settings that allow you to control how the layout is printed.

Print Output Settings

Here, you can configure the layout of a page when printing from the browser.

Show only the application area

Ensures that only the elements contained in the application area are printed. If this setting is not enabled, all other elements—such as menus, additional controls, etc.—will also be printed.

Font Properties / Background Color / Table Borders

These properties allow you to specify which font properties, background colors, or borders to use for tables when printing.

Edit Font Properties / Background Color / Table Borders

Each one opens a dialog box where you can set the font properties, background color, or borders for tables for printing.

Here you can select the font, color, or table border you want for the layout printout.

Close the dialog box by clicking "OK" to save the changes.

Hide the following elements

If you do not want certain items to be printed, please uncheck the corresponding checkbox here.

"Email" tab

Here, you can select an email layout to be used when sending emails.

Alternative Layout for Emails

Select the desired layout for email output. If the same layout is selected for all layouts, emails will have a consistent design—regardless of which layout the user is currently working with. In addition, CSS can be minimized in a specific email layout.

"Responsive" tab

Here, you can specify the minimum size at which a screen is treated as SMALL, MEDIUM, or LARGE in responsive layouts.

Settings for the minimum display width

Medium / Large

Set the screen width here at which the grid element should be displayed in the MEDIUM or LARGE display sizes.

Settings for the minimum width of the paper size when printing

Medium / Large

You can also use this setting to specify which display size to use for printing the layout, based on the paper width.

Layout Details

If Expert Options are enabled, you can access this dialog from the main menu under "Edit / Details. "
