Filter - Operator

The "Operator" element belongs to the "Filter" element category.

With this filter, for example, a view table that is linked to the filter via a dependency can be compared to an operation.

The filter includes three fields:

  1. Select the data field whose values are to be compared

  2. Operator

  3. Value by which the table should be filtered

 

You can find the "Operator" filter in the "Applications" module under "Elements. " You can create a new filter by dragging and dropping the element from here onto the workspace.

The filter's Properties dialog box opens automatically when the filter is created. You can open the Properties dialog box for an existing filter by double-clicking the element on the workspace, selecting "Properties" from the context menu, or choosing "Edit / Properties" from the main menu when the filter is selected on the workspace.

General

Enter the filter's title here. You can find information about multilingual titles here.

"Adjust to maximum available width" causes the element's width to be adjusted to fit the nearest surrounding element.

Comparison

Operator

Select the type of comparison here.

Application / Data Group

Select the application and data group here from which the data to be compared with the data of the element to be filtered is derived.

Data field

This is where you specify the data fields that will be available for selection in the browser's first drop-down list in the filter.

Available

This list shows all the data fields that can be used for the filter.

Selected

Here is a list of all the data fields used in the filter.

The checkbox to the left of a data field selected here can be checked if the "Show list of data fields" setting is enabled on the "Miscellaneous" tab. The data field will then appear as already selected in the drop-down list in the browser.

Moves an entry from one list to the other.

Filter Element Size

Select the desired control type here for display in the browser.

The format should match the data type of the data field being filtered in the dependent element.

When entering data in the browser, the filter only accepts values that match the format selected here.

If the format is a date format, a small calendar appears below the control when you enter data in the browser, allowing you to easily select a date or time.

Miscellaneous

Display a list of data fields

Displays the drop-down list in the browser from which the user can select a data field for comparison.

Allow multiple selections

Allows you to select multiple data fields from the drop-down list in the browser.

With this setting, the filter element should be positioned at the appropriate height so that all entries are visible in the browser.

  • All values must satisfy the condition

    With this option, a result is returned only if the value entered in the filter for comparison is found in all fields selected in the browser.

  • At least one value must satisfy the condition

    Returns a result if the value entered as the comparison is found in at least one data field.

Show list of operators

Displays the list of operators in the browser.
