File Sorting

File sorting allows you to change the order of files in the browser using drag-and-drop. File sorting can only be set up if a file data field exists in the data group.

If multiple files were uploaded per record, the file sorting feature displays all files and allows you to change their order.

You can find the file check in the "Applications" module, in the "Elements" section, under the "Images and Files / File Checks" element category. You can create a new element by dragging and dropping it from here onto the workspace.

An element's Properties dialog box opens automatically when it is created. You can open the Properties dialog box for an existing element by double-clicking the element on the workspace, selecting "Properties" from the context menu, or choosing "Edit / Properties" from the main menu when the element is selected on the workspace.

General

Enter a title for the element here. You can find information about multilingual titles here.

You can also choose whether the files should be listed horizontally or vertically.

Entries

Here, you can specify what information about the files should be displayed in the file sorting view.

Data Source

A data field of type "file" can be selected as the data source.

View image

If images are stored in the selected file field, they will be displayed using this setting.

Edit Image

Opens a dialog box where you can edit the image format.

Format

Rotate Rotated Images

Analyzes the image's orientation data and rotates it accordingly.

Maximum size

Enter the maximum width and height, in pixels, that the image may occupy. Larger images are scaled down proportionally, while smaller images remain unchanged.

Crop Image

The width and height of the image are adjusted to fit the surrounding element.

Enlarge smaller images

If this setting is also selected, smaller images will be enlarged to the specified maximum size.

Optimize File for Thumbnails

This reduces the file size, resulting in faster loading times for the application page.

Click "OK" to save the changes to the image format and close the dialog box.
