Button – Jump destination
In the jump target, for example, the actions "No action", "Save" and "Delete" determine whether a page is loaded when a user clicks on the button and, if so, which page is loaded.
Jump
In this selection list on the right-hand side of the dialog, you can select the action types "Save" and "Delete" to execute a jump to a page of an application. If the "No action" action type is selected, the following options are available:
-
No jump
This setting can be used, for example, if a button is to execute JavaScript but no other action and no page is to be loaded.
-
Back
Jumps back to the previously loaded page.
-
To an application page
Loads the corresponding page.
-
To URL
Jumps to the URL specified in the ""Destination"" field below the drop-down list.
-
To the start page of the portal
Loads the start page of the portal (cannot be selected for button type "Button" ).
-
To the Plugin page
If the jump target is set from a calendar element, the page where the calendar plugin is defined can be loaded here.
Link destination
The page that should be opened is automatically entered into this field when you click on it in the application structure depicted beneath.
Application
Here select the application that contains the destination page.
Create new record
This setting can be activated for pages that perform a jump to edit pages. In this case, the edit page will be loaded with empty fields and without data so that the user can create a new data record.
Jump to existing data set
This option can be used, for example, to open an existing data set contained in view tables.
Link destination for view table, freeform table and diagram
A link destination can also be set for
-
Buttons and data fields that are included in a column in a view table
-
Data records in a freely designed table, if the setting "Entry is link" is set here
-
Click on any points in diagrams
The jump target determines which page is loaded to display the data record when a user clicks on the button or a data record in the free-form table in the browser.
Set the "Entry is link" setting for the free-form table if a jump is to be executed when a data record is clicked on.
Also set the "Entry is link" setting for data fields that are included in view tables so that the entries function as text links.
