Universal Timer Action

A universal timer action is used when a task needs to be created during the course of the process. Unlike the data group timer action, this action does not respond to data records; instead, it generates a one-time task when the universal timer action is triggered during the process. Here, too, you have the option of setting a relative or absolute timer.

Create a Universal Timer Action

You can find the "Data Group Timer" action in "Processes" under the "Elements" section. It belongs to the "Promotions" category. From there, it can be dragged and dropped into the desired location in the process chain and then configured. General information on creating process elements can be found here.

Once you have created the Data Group Timer action on the workspace, double-click the element to open the Properties dialog box.

All other information regarding the configuration of the universal timer action corresponds to the settings you can configure for the data group timer action. You can find all the information here.
