Roles and tasks

When using the "License management" application template, the following roles are used.

Users

In the "User" role, you have access to the "Overview" and "Apply for software/subscription" pages.

On the "Overview" page, you can see all the licenses that have been procured.

You can create an application for software on the "Apply for software/subscription" page. You can also see the applications you have created for software and for which application you still need to consult with the approver of the application.

Editor

In the "Editor" role, you have access to the "Overview", "Request software/subscription" and "Request license assignments" pages.

Your main task is to request the assignment of released or procured licenses to specific users on the "Request license assignments" page. The users can also be external users such as freelancers working for you.

Manager

In the "Manager" role, you have access to all pages of the application. You can perform all actions that can be performed by "User" and "Editor".

Their central tasks consist of releasing applications for software and releasing license assignments. You can also create external users and license packages. You also have an overview of the costs.
