MS365 OneDrive control

Functions

In combination with Connector for Microsoft 365 and Teams, the "MS365 OneDrive" control offers an easy way to access Microsoft OneDrive directly from your portal. The usual Microsoft OneDrive functions, such as opening, editing and searching Microsoft 365 files, are then available to you. In the portal, you can also upload files to Microsoft OneDrive or download files from there.

Complete drive

It is possible to display the contents of your (complete) drive.

The portal will then display all the folders and files on your drive. You can open the displayed files directly with a mouse click in Microsoft 365. You can open the displayed folders by clicking on them.

Folder on drive

You also have the option of configuring the OneDrive control settings to display the contents of a folder directly. This saves you from navigating to or searching for a specific folder.

When the corresponding portal page is called up, the contents of the folder are then displayed immediately.

Call drive and folder statically or dynamically via a data field

You can respond to a drive via a data field in a data group. The ID of the drive and - if required - of the folder must be entered in the data field. This allows the drive and folder to be obtained dynamically in the context of a data record. For more information, see the section MS365 OneDrive - Dynamic access via drive ID.

OneDrive - Users, Teams

Microsoft OneDrive not only includes a "classic drive" that is available to every user. Due to the convergence of Microsoft Cloud Services, in addition to accessing individual drives, access to websites and Microsoft Teamsgroups is also available via the MS365 OneDrive control.

You can access the following "types":

  • Own Drive

If you select this value, the drive of the respective user logged into the Intrexx portal will be displayed in the Intrexx portal.

  • Group

Select "Group" if you are working with Microsoft 365 groups or Microsoft Teams groups and want to upload the Microsoft 365 files onto their drive.

You can then select the corresponding group, its drive and the folder to which you want to upload the Microsoft 365 files.

If you also want to see the documents in the Teams group, you should not select the root folder, but the corresponding channel name of the target drive.

  • Website

Select "Website" if you work with webpages and want to save the files in a website drive. You can then select the corresponding website, drive and folder to which you want to upload the Microsoft 365 files.

  • User

Here you can define a specific Microsoft 365 user whose drive is to be displayed. You can also specify that the contents of a particular folder on the drive should be displayed.

  • Drive ID

With the "Drive ID" type, you can access a drive by specifying the drive ID. In addition, you can access a folder by specifying the folder ID. The drive or folder ID is not stored in the MS365 OneDrive control. Instead, you only specify there in which data field, you have stored the drive ID and folder ID in the associated data group.

The type "Drive ID" is only available if the OneDrive control is inserted on a page below a data group.
