You can access the "Image Selection" dialog in the "Design" module for all images included in the layout. It is also available in the "Applications" module in the properties of all elements that can include images, such as buttons or the "Image" application element.

Here you can access images and icons provided by Intrexx. These images are located under the "Image Family" menu item in the left pane of the dialog box. The "icon54" directory contains only images in SVG format. All images in the image family are available throughout the Portal Manager.

To select an image—for example, to use it as the icon for a button —simply click on it in the right-hand pane and then click "OK." This also applies to your own images, which you can import here in the dialog box to use later in applications.

Upload and Manage Your Own Images

If you are in the "Applications" module, you can create your own folders in the "Image Selection" dialog under the "Application Images" menu item and manage your own images there. Similarly, when you are in the "Design" module, you will find a folder labeled "Layout Images"—you can also create your own folders within it and manage the images you want to use in a layout.

Both application and layout images can then be used only in the application or layout to which they were uploaded.

You can access the corresponding functions from the context menu of the "Application Images" or "Layout Images" menu item in the left pane, or via the corresponding buttons at the bottom of the dialog:

New Folder

Inserts a new row where you can enter the new folder name.

Add an image

Opens a dialog box that allows you to select and take a new photo.

Rename Object

Here, you can change the name of the selected item (image, folder).

Change Name

Names are checked for invalid characters and existing names within the directory. You do not need to enter a file extension for files. The suffix is automatically displayed to the right of the input field.

Enter the new name here and click "OK."

Remove Object

Deletes the selected object.

Remove Unused Images

Deletes all images that are not used in applications or layouts.

Refresh

Updates the images in the right-hand pane of the dialog box.

View Original

Opens a dialog box that displays the original version of the selected image.

Click "OK" to close the dialog box.

Search by Image

Here, you can search for images by filename. The search begins when you enter the first character and is updated with each subsequent entry.

The search results are listed as tiles on the right side of the dialog box, grouped by location. Each location with search results is displayed with a breadcrumb trail that allows you to navigate to the corresponding path in the tree on the left side of the dialog. Selecting an entry in the tree resets the search.

View

"Simple," "List," "Icon," and "Detail" are the display options available for the image file list.
