SystemCare - System Check

You can find the system check in the "Tools" module under "SystemCare. " This tool can be used to check the portal database for characters that cannot be exported and that were inserted via copy and paste or an import. You have the option to replace or delete these characters.

This check may take several minutes and should only be performed if portal exports have failed. You should not perform this check as part of regular system maintenance, and you should generally not perform any database cleanup without consulting Support.

If you haven't run the check yet, you'll see a message to that effect here on the System Check home page, below the drop-down list in the right-hand pane.

To run the system check, select one of the three options from the drop-down list:

Just check
Delete character
Replace Characters

Then click "Start."

Just check

If only a check is performed, you will find here—in the event that non-exportable characters are detected—all the information needed to locate them (database name, table, data field, etc.).

A list of all checked tables is displayed below.

Delete character

In this mode, the characters that were removed are displayed after the command is executed.

Replace Characters

In this mode, the program displays which characters were replaced with spaces after execution.
