First steps
Welcome to Intrexx! This page contains instructions for starting Intrexx after installation, licensing it, and creating a first portal.
Start Intrexx
Intrexx is started via the Portal Manager.
With the Portal Manager, you can connect to your portal and use the Intrexx functions.
The Intrexx Portal Manager is available in two versions: "Portal Manager" and "Integrated Portal Manager". Essentially, both versions have the same range of functions. But there are also some differences.
Integrated Portal Manager
In the classic setup, the Integrated Portal Manager is installed with the Intrexx Portal Server on the same physical or virtual server. It cannot be installed separately from the Portal Server. The Integrated Portal Manager must always be available in the corresponding version for the Intrexx Portal Server. Use the Integrated Portal Manager to update the Intrexx Portal Server.
The Integrated Portal Manager is used when you work directly on the (physical or virtual) server on which the Intrexx Portal Server is installed. The Integrated Portal Manager is often used in the role of an administrator.
The Portal Manager is used to connect to your portal via the Internet or a network. The Portal Manager is often used in the role of a user who has fewer rights than an administrator.

After installing Intrexx, you can start the Integrated Portal Manager by activating the "Start Intrexx Portal Manager" checkbox and then clicking on "Finish".
