Set up service users in SharePoint

You can only use service users if you do not use two-factor authentication to log in to SharePoint.

SharePoint Online

If you use SharePoint Online, you do not need to set up a special service user in SharePoint. In this case, a service account without user reference is automatically used.

SharePoint On Premise

If you use SharePoint On Premise, you can define SharePoint users to be used as service users. You must store the user name and password of these users in Intrexx.
