Set Up Service Users in SharePoint

You can only use Service Users if you do not use two-factor authentication to sign in to SharePoint.

SharePoint Online

If you use SharePoint Online, you do not need to set up a special service user in SharePoint. In this case, a service account that is not associated with a specific user is used automatically.

SharePoint On-Premises

If you are using SharePoint On-Premises, you can specify SharePoint users to be used as service users. You must enter these users' usernames and passwords in Intrexx.
