Column Display in View Tables

In the Properties dialog box for view tables, you can edit the column display by clicking "Edit Column" ( ) on the "Options" tab; for some data types, you can also do this on the "Table" tab. The settings vary depending on the data field type underlying the table column.

Minimum width

Specifies the minimum width the column should have. As long as no value is entered, the table columns are automatically distributed evenly across the entire available width. The width of a column is always determined by the width of the longest entry. If the column heading is longer, the column width is adjusted to fit the heading. Then select the unit for the column width (pixels, percent, or em).

Line break

Here you can select the type of line break.

Cell Alignment / Heading Alignment

Sets the alignment of the text or heading in the column to left, center, or right.

Alignment of Headline

Sets the alignment of the column header to left, center, or right.

Hide

With this setting, the column will not be displayed in the table.

Maximum text length

Here, you can specify the maximum number of characters to be displayed in the table using an integer.

The value -1 causes all characters to be displayed.

Ellipsis (omission mark)

The ellipsis entered here is appended to the last character displayed when the maximum text length is reached.
