Filtering and sorting data records

If you have selected the "Read multiple data records" action in the "Data group selection" dialog step, the "Filter and sort" dialog step appears after you have defined query parameters.

  1. Click on the icon.

    The relevant fields are described below.

    Link

    If you create several filter expressions, you can choose the type of link. An ""AND"" linking will return only data records that fulfill all criteria, and an ""OR"" linking will return only the data records that fulfill a minimum of one criterion.

    Data group

    Select the data group to which the query parameter should be assigned here.

    Data Field

    Select the data field to be assigned to the query parameter here.

    Operation

    Select the operator here. Depending on the type of data field selected, the following operators are available:

    Negation

    The "Negation" setting can be selected for the "Contains", "Starts with" and "Ends with" operators. This will identify all data fields that do not match the filter.

  2. Select the "Binding" option.

  3. Click on .

    The "Binding properties" dialog box appears.

    Select the "Parameters (Application API)" option on the left.

    Select the desired parameter on the right below "Parameter (Application API)".

    Click on "OK".

    You return to the "Filter expression properties" dialog.

    Click on "OK".

    You return to the "Filter and sort" dialog step.
