Timer Event Handler

A timer event handler can only be configured in conjunction with the global timer or a timer action (data group or universal timer action). A global timer or timer action generates time-based events to which the timer event handler responds:

  • Resubmitting a record via a timer from a timer action

  • Timer Event from a Timer Action Without a Data Group Reference

  • Submission of One or More Data Records via Global Timers

  • Timer Event from a Global Timer

Actions and conditions can be linked to the timer event handler.

You can find the timer event handler in "Processes" under "Elements." It belongs to the "Event Handler" category. From there, it can be dragged and dropped to the desired location on the desktop and then configured.

Unlike other elements, the timer event handler is not linked to other elements via a connection. The connection can only be established through the properties of the timer event handler by selecting the desired timer action or global timer there.

Once you have created the timer event handler on the workspace, double-click the element to open the Properties dialog box.
