Generating a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) Without Using a Front-End Web Server
If you selected "No front-end web server" when setting up the front-end web server, you can generate a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) directly from the dialog box. A CSR is the preliminary step in obtaining an SSL certificate and is required to apply for an SSL certificate from a certificate authority.
Step-by-Step
To generate a CSR (Certificate Signing Request), follow these steps:

Launch the dialog box for configuring the front-end web server.
The dialog box appears when you create a new portal.
OR
The dialog box can be opened at any time via the portal properties.
In the "Type" field, the value "No front-end web server" must be selected.

Click " Generate a certificate signing request (CSR) here." (The text turns blue when you hover your mouse over it.)

The "Certificate Information" dialog box (1) appears.
Please enter the following information for the CSR:

Host (CN - Common Name)

Organizational Unit (OU)
-
Organization (O - Organization)
-
Location (L - Locality)
-
State or Province (ST)
-
Country (C)
Optional Information
-
Subject Alternative Names
Use a separate line here for each alternative name.

Click "Next."
The "Certificate Information" dialog box (2) appears.

).A window will appear where you can specify the name and location of the CSR file.

).A window will appear where you can specify the name and location of the keystore file.

Enter the password for the keystore file.
-
Click "Finish."
You will be returned to the dialog box for configuring the front-end web server.
