You can find the MediaGateway installation file at the following path: <Intrexx installation directory>\adapter\msexchange\IntrexxMediaGateway.exe
Update for Intrexx MediaGateway as of Intrexx 11 Run
Preliminary Remarks
Up through Intrexx Steady 11, the Exchange Connector used the CORBA protocol to communicate with the MediaGateway (ConnectBridge). As part of efforts to improve support for Exchange Online/MS365, the connector for OAuth2 authentication has been enhanced and the communication protocol has been migrated to gRPC. When updating the Exchange Connector or upgrading Intrexx to version
-
Before upgrading Intrexx, you should reset the MediaGateway admin password to 1234 via the Exchange configuration in Portal Manager.
-
Before upgrading Intrexx, you should stop the Intrexx MediaGateway service and back up the MediaGateway folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\INTREXX GmbH\Intrexx MediaGateway). You should also back up the Exchange configuration file located in the portal directory "internal\cfg\exchange\exchange.cfg."
Procedure
After successfully upgrading Intrexx, you must update the Intrexx MediaGateway. Before updating the Intrexx MediaGateway, make sure that the .NET Framework 4.8 is installed on the Windows system.
-
Run the setup routine located in the installation directory: "adapter\msexchange\IntrexxMediaGateway.exe". Specify the existing MediaGateway installation folder as the installation location.
-
After the update, the MediaGateway service has started.
-
Start the Exchange configuration in Portal Manager. On the first page, change the connection type to gRPC.
-
Run connection tests and save your information.
-
Change the MediaGateway's admin password.
If you use Exchange Online, a refresh token is required and requested the first time you access Exchange Online via Portal Manager. For detailed information on this, see the section "Request an MS365 Refresh Token."
Initialize the MediaGateway Database
If the configuration cannot be saved without errors or if the Exchange refresh token cannot be determined, the MediaGateway database must be reinitialized. This will result in the loss of the previous settings (Exchange shares), which will need to be re-entered.
The MediaGateway database can be reinitialized as follows:
-
Reset the admin password for the MediaGateway service to 1234.
-
Stop the MediaGateway service.
-
In the MediaGateway installation folder, rename the "database" subfolder to "database_bak."
-
Start the MediaGateway service.
-
In Portal Manager, open the Exchange configuration.
-
Run connection tests and save your information.
-
Record permissions for user mailboxes using the "Exchange Settings" app or through the additional users.
