Scenario 6 - Encrypted connection between the Intrexx portal server and database

You can configure an encrypted connection between Intrexx and the database.

If you want to establish an encrypted connection between Intrexx and the database, you must store the required certificate in the central certificate store.
However, the central certificate store is not yet available when a portal is created.
To avoid this problem, you can choose not to validate the certificate when creating the portal.

SSL

Define whether the connection to the database server should be encrypted or not.
You can initially select "no SSL" during portal creation and set up an encrypted connection to the database server later if required.
If you set up an encrypted connection and select the value "SSL with certificate validation", you must store the certificate in the appropriate place on the database server before creating the portal.
After the portal has been created, the certificate needs to be added to the central certificate store for the encrypted connection to the database server.
