General Information About the Updates
With the " Intrexx Steady Track," you'll receive regular updates with new features for Intrexx at relatively short intervals. With every update, Intrexx undergoes a version change.
Continue working without interruption while downloading
While an update is downloading, you can continue working in Intrexx.
(During the installation of the update, the Intrexx services will be stopped and then restarted.) (This means that your portal will be unavailable while the update is being installed.)
Update Notifications
A notification will appear in the lower-right corner of the Intrexx window informing you that an update is available and can be installed.
You can only perform updates for the Intrexx Portal Server using the Integrated Portal Manager. To download and install the updates, you must launch the Integrated Portal Manager as an administrator.
Internet connection
You must be connected to the Internet while downloading the update.
No Internet connection
You can perform a software update even if your Intrexx server does not have an Internet connection.
In that case, please download the latest Intrexx setup. (This includes all the latest updates.) You can find it in the download section of Intrexx Support Center after you have successfully logged in.
Download the appropriate setup
Be sure to download the correct Intrexx setup for your release track. If you are using Intrexx Silent Track, you must download the Silent Track Setup. If you are using Intrexx Steady Track, you must download the Steady Track Setup. For example, if you use Silent Track and download and run the setup for Steady Track, your Intrexx instance will then be set to "Steady Track."
The setup is the same setup or installation package that is also used for a new installation. In other words, there is no separate, downloadable software package for Intrexx that contains only the files needed for an update.
Next, copy the setup files to the Intrexx server and extract them there.
Run the setup as you would for a new installation. (For more information, see, among other things, the section Linux - Installing Intrexx.")
"Overwrite" your existing Intrexx instance. To do this, select the directory where you installed Intrexx in the "Installation Path" dialog box.
Then follow the installation wizard.
