Championship Prediction Game

The "Championship Prediction Game" application template allows you to set up an online prediction game for tournaments. Tournaments can be European or world championships, but also, for example, in-house championships.

Subsequently, (authorized) portal users can submit tips in the portal and collect points for their tips. Based on the tips submitted, there is a ranking list and one or more winners at the end of the tournament.

Tournament progress

With the League prediction game application template, all matches are already fixed at the start of the season. This is different for the championship prediction game. There is usually a group phase at the start of a tournament in which the matches are already fixed before the tournament begins. Depending on the number of participating teams, there will be several round of 16, quarter-final and semi-final matches after the group stage, followed by a final and possibly a match for third place.

During the tournament, it is necessary to manually enter the teams for the matches after the group stage in the championship prediction game, as these are only determined during the tournament.

Bonus questions and bonus points

A special feature of the championship prediction game are bonus questions that you can enter in addition to the pure match results.

Bonus questions can be as follows, for example:

• Who will win the tournament?

• Who will be the group winner for a particular group?

The bonus questions give players the opportunity to earn additional points (bonus points). The bonus points are added to the points resulting from the tips for the individual games.
