In Intrexx, you can create intranets and extranets with effective web applications. They help you to achieve high levels of communication and information sharing in your company. Hundreds or thousands of employees can find information, share data, and record data.

This chapter of the online help deals with how you can ensure that all users of your portal, including people with disabilities, can use it. This is the case if you make your portal accessible.

General accessibility

In these sections, you will find general information about accessibility in relation to websites.
This includes an overview of forms of restrictions and an introduction to the WCAG guidelines.
If you are already familiar with the topic of accessibility, you can skip these sections and start directly with the topics "Accessibility in Intrexx" and "WCAG and BITV".

Accessibility in Intrexx

These sections explain how accessibility is implemented in Intrexx.
You will find information and instructions for actions that can help you to quickly implement key aspects of accessibility in Intrexx. This includes a list of "Best Practices", explanations of the "Accessible Layout" of Intrexx and where you can assign ARIA roles and attributes. You will also learn that Intrexx is already mostly accessible "out-of-the-box".

WCAG and BITV

These sections provide a systematic overview of the WCAG guidelines in version 2.1. These are assigned to the BITV regulations, where possible. For each of the guidelines and regulations, you will find notes on their relevance and implementation in Intrexx. These sections are of particular interest to you if you are (immediately) preparing for certification and want to check which guidelines you already fulfill or still have to fulfill.
