Connector for OData
Here is a guide to creating and providing your own OData service for appointment data from the Personal calendar. The approach to using other OData services is the same and will be explained by using the example of a created service. With the provided service, you could, for example present appointments from one Intrexx portal in a second portal without having to access the database of the portal server directly. Furthermore, any OData client or browser can access the appointments. In the following, we will assume that appointments from another portal should be shown in a calendar. To go through the example yourself, you can either create a second portal or use the same portal, where the OData service was created. Open the Portal Manager and connect to the portal that should consume the OData service.
In the Integration module, create a new data source via the OData menu / New data source. This option is only available if the Connector for OData under Consume data is selected. Define the following settings in the dialog:
Name: Appointments
Authentication: Simple
User/Password: User name and password of a valid user from the portal from which the service is provided
In this dialog you can create a new service by clicking on 
"Enter service".
In this dialog enter the name Appointments and the address https://servername:port/Appointments.svc as the URL. Replace "servername" and "port" with the hostname of the computer, where the Intrexx portal server is running. Click on "Finish" and then "Next" until you reach the Connection test dialog.
Click on "Test". With the correct authentication data, the OData client can now be used as an external data source in Intrexx applications.
Edit connection
The connection is now shown on the right. All of the functions available for editing a connection can be reached via the OData menu, when an existing connection has been selected on the right.
"Name" column
The name of the connection is shown here.
"Description" column
The description is shown here.
"Data groups" column
The number of data groups, which are integrated into applications as external data groups, is shown here.

Selecting SAP Gateway menu / New data source will open a wizard where a new connection can be created. This option is available if the Connector for SAP Gateway is selected under Consume data on the left-hand side. In each configuration dialog, you can reach the corresponding Intrexx Help by pressing F1 or by clicking on the "Help" button.
Edit file storage location
Every connection created by you is listed in the right-hand area. All of the functions available for editing a connection can be reached via the SAP Gateway menu, when an existing connection has been selected on the right.
"Name" column
The name of the connection is shown here.
"Description" column

"Data groups" column
